We are very privileged to have taken part in converting the barn and renovating the existing farmhouse to create a modern family home, which is highly energy efficient and still has all the characteristics of period building.

The main bulk of the work began in 2013 and was complete within 1 year, but work is still ongoing at this property with new alterations and additions happening all the time.

The project began with the conversion of the barn and then moved through to the renovation of the farmhouse and the outbuildings. The property was highly insulated throughout, which sometimes posed a problem with the light fittings in trying to ensure they had adequate ventilation and did not overheat but all problems encountered were quickly solved by working closely with the builder and other tradesmen.

We installed highly efficient LED lighting right through the property as well as the outbuildings, stables and the garden, we also installed the required cables to control the biomass heating system, which is super efficient and uses wood pellets to heat the house and the hot water, this is also a smart system and be fully controlled from a mobile device from anywhere with an internet connection.

We have since installed new electrical wiring to the horse stables, installed lighting to the horse show jumping menage and very recently installed power to the new horse walker.

Ian and his team have been amazing. They helped out with the planning of the kitchen and the appliances , offered advise on switching arrangements and give options on all of the light fittings available. Ian takes safety very seriously and installed all of the new fittings with fire protection in accordance  with the latest building regs and Part P.

I would recommend him to anyone thinking of having some electrical work done as he is very hard working, enthusiastic and gets the job done on budget which is very important these days.
